Alvin Greene said he thinks he did pretty well for his first try.
But he’s not talking about his unexpected win in the June primary election for one of the state’s two U.S. Senate seats.
He’s talking about his golf game. The first he ever played was Sunday at Indigo Creek in Murrells Inlet. He came at the invitation of Socastee resident Gerry Shea, who “called Greene on a lark Friday, because he’s an interesting person you hear a lot about in the news.”
Shea said he was surprised Greene answered his own phone, but told Greene the game would be a good chance to meet some local residents and get his name out along the Grand Strand.
