Jackie Epps, who has served as S.C. State Universitys vice president for institutional advancement and as director of its career center, was appointed to the schools Board of Trustees on Monday.
Dr. Epps has a stellar record of success in the corporate sphere, having overseen the development of an array of products for Kraft and General Foods, and I have every reason to believe hell bring the same insight and eye for efficiency to South Carolina States Board of Trustees, said Gov. Mark Sanford, who made the appointment.
Epps, 62, received his undergraduate degree from S.C. State and his masters and doctoral degrees from Rutgers University. He fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Martha Scott-Smith.
