The CID has informed Courts that advice would be sought from the Attorney General on the future action that should be initiated in relation to LTTE’s Daya Master and George Master.
Former LTTE media spokesman Daya Master and Language Translator George Master were taken into custody during the final stages of the humanitarian operations. They have already been enlarged on bail. The two suspects appeared in the Colombo Magistrate’s Court when the case against them was taken up for hearing today. Presenting a dossier, the CID said the relevant inquiries have been completed and they expect to seek further advice from the Attorney General. Accordingly Magistrate Rushmi Singappuli fixing further hearing for the 17th of October ordered the CID to file a report on the advice of the Attorney General on that day.
