Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao has arrived in Sri Lanka strengthening Indo Sri Lanka relations.
She arrived last night on a four-day official visit. She will focus attention on the assistance that India can provide for the massive development process, in the post-conflict era.
The Indian Foreign Secretary will tour Jaffna and Vavuniya to see to herself the conditions prevailing in the area. Bilateral discussions between the President have also been scheduled.
Mrs. Rao who has functioned as the Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka has gained experience in the conflict era. Reports say that she is expecting to build relations in several new fields between India and Sri Lanka.
