Chinese investors have paid immediate attention on exploring the scope of investments they can spearhead within Sri Lanka in primary sectors such as power and energy, trade and tourism.
A high level delegation of Chinese investors is now in the country to explore opportunities available and to take part in Sri Lanka’s trade fairs with the aim of gaining insight into the potential investment opportunities in the country.
Governor of Yunnan Province Qin Guangrong stated that Chinese investors are paying particular attention on producing wind power, solar power and if possible bio gas. Guangrong asserted that these regular and irregular exchanges will help to explore the scope of cooperation and enhance mutual relations between the two nations.
Speaking on the prospects of tourism, Governor Guangrong pointed out that Yunnan Province in China is gifted with beautiful mountain range which is a primary tourist attraction of the area while Sri Lanka is popular for its exquisite beaches and is considered a small miracle among the foreign sightseers.
