Sri Lanka’s amateur golf sensation Mithun Perera lost by just two shots to Edgar Oh of Singapore who became the youngest ever player to win the 63rd Singapore Open Amateur Championships at the Warren Golf and Country Club course.

Competing with players from over 12 countries, Mithun Perera had an aggregate of 293 from the four rounds of golf that was played over four days. He took an early lead by registering the best gross score of 70 on the first day but could not maintain his consistent form in the next three rounds and Edgar Oh was the winner with an aggregate of 291.
