The Government is considering the removal of legal barriers to facilitate graduates who are affiliated to the public service to enter the administrative service.
The Attorney General has informed this when a petition filed by the Association of Employed Graduates was taken up before the Supreme Court. The petition seeks the issuance of a directive removing legal barriers that prevent the graduates in public service from entering administrative service. The State Counsel who appeared on behalf of the Attorney General said that the public Administration Ministry is studying the opportunities prevailing in this connection. The State Attorney said that a decision would be made within six months. The Supreme Court postponed the case till 19th of November.
