A racket of removing parts of a printing machine of the North Central Province and selling to a Private Press, has been busted.
Parts of a printing machine of the Equipment Agency of the North Central Provincial Council had been sold to a Private Press in the Anuradhapura City. The Police said the total value of the parts sold the Private Printing Press was about 250 thousand rupees. The Police conducted the raid on a telephone call given by Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake. The owner of the Private Printing Press and two other suspects were arrested. The Police said investigations are in place for the arrest of two technicians of the Equipment Agency suspected to be directly involved in the incident.
