Police have charged three South Carolina men in the shooting death of a man at his home.
An Anderson County jail officer said Saturday that two men were charged with murder and a third with assault and battery with intent to kill in the death of 26-year-old Joshua Maness. Maness was shot in the stomach Wednesday at his home and died at a hospital during surgery.
Police have charged 22-year-old Joshua Jennings and 21-year-old Daryl Newton with murder; 18-year-old Gary Dale Garrison Jr. faces the lesser charge. All three have been charged with armed robbery.
There was no information on whether any of the man had attorneys.
Anderson County sheriff's spokesman Chad McBride says the men targeted Maness for robbery, but he would not say why.
