The Attorney General decides to indict Mutthusami Ilangovan, who was a leader of the LTTE Shipping network.
He will be indicted under the Immigration and Emigration Act. The Attorney General has informed the Supreme Court in this connection. Illangovan was arrested when he arrived in Sri Lanka from Singapore. The CID had interrogated him at length. The Attorney General has decided to file a case after scrutinising the inquiry reports. It has come to light that the suspect had operated the Shipping Network of the LTTE from different countries. He has also been raising funds for the LTTE.
