The first legal showdown a bond hearing in the case of the Orangeburg mother accused of smothering her two toddlers and then submerging their bodies in a local river on August 16, 2010 will take place next Monday afternoon.
First Circuit Solicitor David Pascoe confirmed the hearing for accused child killer Shaquan Duley and said he will urge Judge Edward Dickson to deny bond.
Pascoe declined to reveal his reasons, saying he was saving them for the court hearing.
Duleys lawyer, Carl B. Grant, told The State he is looking forward to the hearing and hopes to get his client freed on bond until trial.
Its time to set the record straight and put this immeasurably sad case in its proper and accurate perspective, said Grant.
