Ariyawathi who underwent difficulties in Saudi Arabia will be offered a new house.
The foundation laying was held this morning. L.P. Ariyawathi from Thihagoda who left for Saudi Arabia in order to earn money to build her house, underwent torture at the hands of her employer and had to return empty handed. The nails inserted into her body by her employers were removed at the Aandapana hospital in Kamburupitiya. The Housing Development Authority, Foreign Employment Bureau and the Insurance Trust Fund have jointly offered to build a house to help her realize her dream. The construction work started this morning under the patronage of Deputy Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena. It will be constructed at the expenditure of 850 thousand rupees. The access road to the house was prepared by a group led by the Chairman of the Thihagoda Pradeshiya Sabha Nirmaal Samarasinghe.
