The issues confronted by the Tamil polity in the Estate sector for several decades have been revealed at the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Presidential Commission. CWC Parliamentarian Muttusivalingam testified before the Commission at the Kadirgamar Centre in Colombo today.
He presented in detail the issues confronted by the Tamil civilians in the upcountry for several decades. Many are facing a housing problem. Education of some children has been paralysed. The wage dispute is prominent among the issues. All government wanted to direct attention to the estate polity However Muttusivalingam said all these regimes did not succeed. The eight member Commission is headed by Retired Attorney General President’s Counsel C.R. De Silva.
