A South Carolina man has pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a man two years ago and will testify against a co-defendant.
Multiple media outlets reported that 28-year-old Charles Andrew Skipper of Dillon pleaded guilty to murder and armed robbery in Conway on Tuesday, just before his trial was to begin.
Skipper is expected to testify against 30-year-old Crystal Turner of Marion in her trial.
Fifty-four-year-old Ronald Rabon of Aynor was shot to death during a robbery in 2008. Garbage truck drivers found Rabon's body beside a road in Horry County.
Four other people also are charged in the case and will be tried later. Prosecutors say Turner plotted to rob Rabon and directed the others.
