A fight between two Richland County residents led to their arrest on charges of drug use and unlawful conduct toward a child.
Sheriff's deputies on Sunday arrested Michael M. Thomas Sr., 25, of Wilson Boulevard, Colubmia, and LaKenyatta Maxwell, 26, of Barger Circle, Irmo.
The arrest followed the deputies' response to a domestic disturbance call at Maxwell's residence. While interviewing the pair, deputies said they smelled marijuana and saw the drug in plain view in the home. In all, 15 pounds of pot were found and seized, the department said.
Thomas Sr. and Maxwell are each charged with trafficking marijuana, trafficking marijuana within a half mile of a school and unlawful conduct toward a child.
