For me it all started in the mid 20th century - 1965 (thanks to Alfred Butts who really invented SCRABBLE during the great American depression of 1933) when two friends, four balls Mahinda and "Voise" Perera, and I started playing LEXICON (English word forming card game).
Mahinda or MYNA as we called him then, was the first ever Sri Lankan, that also whilst a schoolboy of 16 years, to have taken four wickets in four balls in a schools fixture. A right ROYAL achievement indeed. Perera played the word ’voise’ in a game of lexicon with me. The word has gone unchallenged up to now!
