The Presidential Commission on Lessons Learnt and National Reconciliation will meet in Kilinochchi today.
The Commission appointed by the President to study the conflict and prevent such conflicts in the future commenced sittings in Colombo last month. After recording evidence in Colombo it meets in Kilinochchi today and tomorrow. The residents of Kilinochchi have the opportunity to give evidence on their experiences during the conflict period as well as their views on the future of the motherland.
The Commission will meet in Jaffna during next month and thereafter in the Eastern province. The eight member Commission is headed by former Attorney General C.R. de Silva
