The people in Kilinochchi have revealed the hardships they underwent due to LTTE terrorism.
The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission met in Kilinochchi today for the second day. Many scholars and civilians took the initiative of testifying before the Commission. The Commission which recorded evidence in Colombo last month held public sittings in Kilinochchi yesterday and today at several Divisional Secretariats. The sittings are presided over by former Attorney General C.R. de Silva. Nearly 200 civilians testified before the Commission yesterday. The majority have complained about people who have gone missing during terrorism. The Commission will hold public sittings in Mullaitivu tomorrow.
