The Sri Lankan President holds several rounds of talks with World leaders.
President Rajapaksa who is in New York to participate in the 65th Annual UN General Assembly sessions is due to have talks with several World leaders. Former President Bill Clinton hosted a reception on behalf of State leaders including President Rajapaksa this morning. It was thereafter followed by bilateral discussions. The President had discussions with his Iranian counterpart Mohamoud Ahamedanejad and the Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. The special representative of the UN Secretary General for children and armed conflict Radhika Coomaraswamy was due to meet the President today. More discussions between President Rajapaksa and world leaders are on the cards in the next few days.
