President Mahinda Rajapaksa, according to the UN journal, is scheduled to make the second speech from a total of 30 heads of state to speak at the United Nation’s 65th General Assembly sessions today (22).
The sessions are scheduled to commence at 10 am New York time today (22).
According to UN reports President Rajapaksa is to speak after Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych.
Reports state that some of the other leaders scheduled to speak today (22) are Chilean President Sebastián Piñera Echenique, Iceland Prime Minister Ms. Jóhanna Sigurŏardóttir, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Brunei Foreign Minister Prince Mohamed Bolkiah.
US President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak in the afternoon.
