Grade Five Scholarship Examination results are released. A student of Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya has topped the list.
Based on the results announced today, Sanuja Kalhan Edirisinghe of Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya topped the list with 196 marks. Expressing views, Sanuja said that he faced the examination without any difficulty, heeding the advice received from the school and the teachers as well as from his parents.
Navin Yasanka Pramaratne of the Horagasmulla Primary School in Minuwangoda, J. Kalani Pabasara of the Meegahatenna Primary School in Matugama and Lakith Navodya of Mahinda College, Galle emerged in a tie with 194 marks each. The examination was held on the 22nd of last month.
Commissioner General for Examinations Anura Edirisinghe said that arrangements have been made for Principals of the Colombo and Sri Jayawardenapura Educational Zones to collect results from the Examinations Department from tomorrow morning. All other results have been handed over to the Postal Department to be mailed. He revealed that by 12.00 noon tomorrow, the results will be posted to the website. It is www.doenets.lk. Thereafter, anyone who is interested in the results can obtain it from the website. Mr. Edirisinghe also revealed that at the rate of 5000 rupees per year, allocations had been made for 15,000 students. Another 16,000 will be eligible to enter a new school. Accordingly, the total number of students who will benefit will be 31,000.
