Welfare programmes launched for the Navy

A number of special programmes are being launched for the welfare of the Navy. Naval Media Spokesman Captain Athula Senarath said that special consideration is being given to the families of Naval personnel who sacrificed their lives and become disabled during the war.

The Naval Media Spokesman said that the carnival and trade fair organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Navy named ‘Sayuru Rala’ will be inaugurated by the Navy Commander this evening at the Ja-ela Urban Council grounds. The aim of the programme is to collect funds for various programmes launched by the Navy for the benefit of the families of Navy personnel who lost their lives and become disabled during the conflict. He requested the public to extend assistance to the Seva Vanitha Unit by visiting the Carnival and Trade fair.
