The Colombo High Court today (27) commenced hearings on the controversial “white flag” case against former Army Commander and DNA Leader Sarath Fonseka.
The trial-at-bar was taken up in the Colombo High Court presided by judges Deepali Wijesundara and consisting of H.N.P.B Warawewa and Zurfick Razeen.
The main witness in the case Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Major General Shavendra Silva and Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative in Geneva Shenuka Seneviratne were present in court.
Fonseka was not present in court as he was indisposed.
The case is to resume tomorrow and courts have ordered Fonseka to be presented when the case is taken up.
