54 families who suffered hardships due to terrorist activities will receive new houses. They are from the Saalampan Village in Mannar.
The construction of houses for the displaced of the village commenced under the auspices of Minister Milroy Fernando. Each house will cost one million rupees. In addition to building these houses, it is desired to provide water, power and health facilities in addition to schooling for children. An NGO from the Netherlands is assisting.
