President Rajapksa returns home after a successful visit to the United States to participate in the UN General Assembly Sessions.
The visit enabled to achieve many benefits. The President arrived early this morning at the Katunayake International Airport. The President during his stay in New York was able to hold bilateral discussions with many leaders.
As such, the talks yielded much benefits to the country. In addition, the President was able to discuss the present situation in Sri Lanka with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. The visit further enabled to solidify Sri Lanka’s relations with the world.
A notable feature at the UN General Assembly Session was the initiative taken by the Vice President of the Maldives to reveal President Rajapaksa’s political maturity and bold leadership.
