The Irrigation Department said that areas in the vicinity of the Gin Ganga and the Nilwala River are threatened with floods. The water levels of the Kelani River, Kalu Ganga and the Attanagalu Oya have risen to a considerable extent. The environs of the Pinga Oya are impacted with minor floods.
