Investment opportunities galore in Magampura

Several foreign and local entrepreneurs have expressed willingness to invest in business ventures at the Magampura Harbour premises, Ports and Aviation Deputy Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena said.
A team of local and foreign entrepreneurs from Malaysia, Singapore, India and Europe visited the Magampura Port to explore the potential business ventures and investment opportunities recently.
During the visit, Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman, Dr Priyath Bandu Wickrama elaborated investment and business venture availability at the fast developing Magampura Port and suburbs.
A considerable number of both local and foreign investors will commence their business entities in the near future based on the Magampura Port and Hambantota International Airport.
Two land areas of 200 metres and two kilometre distance from the quay have been allocated for establishing such business entities. All facilities for business entities will be available at the port. Infrastructure facilities are being developed aiming to meet international standards.
