The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has remanded the political leader of the LTTE women’s wing Thamilini until further advice is received from the Attorney General in this connection.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singappuli ordered the suspect to be remanded up to the 25th this month. Subramaniam Sivagami alias Thamilini was taken into custody after surrendering to the Government following the end of the humanitarian operation. The CID in its report to the Court said that all investigation reports concerning the suspect have been forwarded to the Attorney General. The CID further said further action will be taken after receiving the advice of the Attorney General.
