Dilapidated roads in Sabaragamuva to be developed

1.2 billion rupees will be allocated to carpet dilapidated roads where buses of Sabaragamuva Province Public Transport Service are being operated.

Nearly 15 roads at Weli-maluwa, Gona-kumbura, Kuruwita and Eratna in Ratnapura district and 20 roads at Wak deniya in Alawwa, Yatiyantota and Garagoda in Kegalle district will be developed under this programme. It is expected to complete the development work within this year. The identification of roads that require renovation through the Kegalla and Ratnapura District Coordination Committees and the progress review is being carried out under the patronage of Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
