Lexington man, 20, dies in shooting while driving

A Lexington man died quickly from a gunshot to the chest Saturday night he suffered as he was driving on Calks Ferry Road.
Lexington County Sheriff's investigators are looking into the death as a homicide.
The man, identified by coroner Harry Harman as William L. Calhoun, 20, of Founders Road, was shot in the chest around 10:50 p.m. Saturday. He was driving on Calks Ferry Road near Lexington, the sheriff's department said.
The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation. A deputy was called to the scene by a resident who saw Calhoun's gray Ford Mustang wrecked in woods off the road near Cheryse Drive, the department said. The deputy found Calhoun's body in the car.
