Child Protection Authority has taken into custody several minor couples who had been living together without marrying with the approval of their parents. Chairperson of the Child Protection Authority Anoma Dissanayake said they were arrested during a raid carried out on complaints received.
She said that complaints were made about several minors who had been living together with the approval of parents and elders. Following investigations two girls and two males were taken into custody by the Child Protection Authority Police. The two girls were have been handed over to Children’s Home while the males have been remanded. Investigations are being continued.
