Laws breakers should inevitably be penalised

Oct 11, 2010 6:38:23 AM - itnnews.lk

Chief incumbent of the Gangarama Temple in Hunupitiya the Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara thera has stressed that those who violate the laws would inevitably be punished.

The prelate pointed out that punishment is required to discipline the weak as well as the powerful and a country cannot be built without meting out punishment. No one can forget how the international terrorists provided arms and finances to the local terrorists and destroyed the country. He said that when the other countries should have commended Sri Lanka for eliminating terrorism, it only received certification that human rights were violated. The prelate emphasized that everyone should be committed to preserving peace when the country was progressing towards a development goal devoid of terrorism.
