President Rajapaksa has stressed that it is essential for all sectors to work together in finding solutions for the problems of the masses. The President made this observation at the progress review meeting of the Northwestern Province.
He said the work discharged at Divisional Secretariats and Departments should be checked in order to make corrections. The work started in 80s and 90s should now be completed as these remain in the people’s minds. He said Secretaries to the Ministries and officials of the Provincial Councils should take necessary measures.
The President pointed out the importance of carrying out road development in an organized manner. Kocal bodies and Provincial Councils should identify problems and carry out the development work when allocations are made.
The President drew his attention to the water problem of the people. He said the people need water. The programmes to provide drinking water launched in 2005 should now be completed.
