President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that support of the working people is essential to achieve development goals.
The President said the assistance of the trade unions and the people of all communities are a prerequisite to achieve the developmental goals of the country and a disciplined society is a cornerstone in the path towards a developed country.
The contribution of the working masses is essential for the creation of a law-abiding generation in the country and he hailed them, for their clear understanding on the current situation in the country.
The President was addressing trade union leaders and members. Speaking further he opined that the country was being developed with the aim of providing better living conditions for the people.
He further said that plans have been drawn up to provide electricity for next 20 years since the country is on a mega development drive. A group of people including Ministers, Parliamentarians, Trade Union Members were present on the occasion.
