A group of about 300 people from the Kelaniya area had reportedly attended religious observances and dashed coconuts in the Badrakali Amman Kovil premises at Munneswaran on Tuesday (12) to call on the Gods not to pave the way for Fonseka’s release.
They had arrived in three buses of the Kalaniya CTB Depot.
Before dashing coconuts they have told the media that the government should release all convicts serving jail terms, if Sarath Fonseka was released.
