First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa has said that Sri Lanka’s child generation is now geared to take over as world leaders in the future.
She made this reference while addressing the World’s First Ladies Summit in Kuala Lumpur. Delivering the inaugural address yesterday, she said Sri Lanka has earned international fame as the country in which there is a high literacy rate among children. Mrs. Rajapaksa pointed out that Sri Lanka occupies a prominent place in health and nutrition. It was agreed to stage the next First Ladies Summit in 2012.
