95 percent of resettlement of the displaced in the Jaffna Peninsula has been completed.
Jaffna Commanding Officer Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe said that the resettlement of the displaced in the Peninsula has successfully reached the final stage. Only 333 families are left to be resettled. At present they are located at the Ramawil Welfare Village in Jaffna. The food and other necessities needed by them are being provided with the mediation of the Government and the Security Forces. Major General Hathurusinghe was confident that they could conclude the resettlement process by the end of next month.
