American investors are ready to undertake investments in Sri Lanka, following the peaceful situation prevailing after the liberation of the country from terrorism.
Based on the 8th sessions held under the Trade and Investment Memorandum of Understanding between Sri Lanka and the US, Assistant US Trade Representative for Central South Asia, Michael Delaney said many US investors are ready to arrive in Sri Lanka to undertake investments. Further expressing his views, Mr. Delaney said Sri Lanka should be made the next business stop for countries such as the USA.It is necessary to re-calibrate Sri Lanka for new assessments and the USA has a positive role to play in the country’s trade and investment. He said the investment in the country will fuel the economic growth. The prospects of peace and reconciliation will lead to prosperity.
