757 doctors who have completed internship training receive new appointments.
These doctors received appointments at a function in Colombo. They will serve in remote areas. Joining in the handing over of appointments to these new doctors, Deputy Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that the granting of appointments or transfers was taking place irrespective of party politics. The Government was taking all these measures for their welfare. He reminded the new doctors that they were going to serve in remote hospitals. As such they will have to face new experiences. At the same time they would be entrusted with a more responsible task of serving the patients.
