Minister Jeevan Kumaratunga has told in Ampara that he planned to provide an efficient postal service in the North and East.
The Minister said his Ministry had already laid the initial foundation to assist the President in the task of making Sri Lanka the Asia’s miracle. The necessary arrangements had already been made to make the postal service more efficient before the 31st of December this year, providing all the required services. He was confident of developing the postal network so that even the remote villages will have a access to modern technology.
The Minister was speaking at the opening of new post offices in the Attalachenai and Oluvil areas in the Eastern Province. Deputy Minister Vinayagamurthi Muralidaran was present.
