Southwest Airlines starts service in South Carolina on March 13 with seven daily non-stop flights each from Charleston and Greenville-Spartanburg, the discount airline announced today.
From both airports, Southwest will fly to Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, Nashville and Houston Hobby. Greenville-Spartanburg also will have a daily flight to Orlando.
Southwest has started two fare sales on its website, southwest.com.
Through 2:59 a.m. Friday, passengers can book seats for as little as $30 one-way on flights from March 13 to April 6.
Southwest also is offering introductory fares starting at $59 one-way. Tickets must be bought by Dec 31 for travel from March 13 to May 25. Excluded are flights from April 21-25 and any service on Fridays and Sundays.
