Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has said that the Government is ready to take legal action with regard to Kumaran Pathmanathan alias K.P once initial inquiries are completed. Responding to a query raised in Parliament today, he said inquiries are continuing on KP’s assets.
The Minister told the House that initial inquiries on KP were continuing. Then it is planned to institute legal action against him. Until then he is in the military custody. In some states the LTTE is active. The intelligence in those countries and the local intelligence services are coordinating inquiries and had already taken several LTTE activities into custody in their countries. The Minister further told the House that investigations are continuing to arrest the other LTTE activists.
