Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has said that information regarding the politicians in the South who had maintained connections with the LTTE will be soon revealed. The Minister made this statement in response to queries raised on Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP in Parliament.
The query was raised by Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara. A tense situation prevailed in Parliament following his comments. The Minister said more details cannot be revealed with regard to an ongoing investigation. He recalled that earlier the opposition claimed that news of the capture of Padmanathan was a lie. He said photographs are available of those who swam in the LTTE swimming pool. The Minister stressed that more information will be revealed about who interacted with the LTTE when the investigations are completed.
