A North Carolina teenager accused of using the Internet to make fake bomb threats to six universities and to FBI offices in Louisiana and Colorado has pleaded guilty.
The 17-year-old boy from Oxford, N.C., pleaded guilty Wednesday in South Bend, Ind., federal court to conspiracy.
The teen admits making threats last year to Purdue University, Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne, University of North Carolina, Clemson University, Florida State University and Boston College.
A plea deal calls for a sentence of up to five years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 23. The Associated Press left a message seeking comment from defense lawyer Alison Benjamin.
