The first environment-friendly hotel built at Thrippone after the three-decade old war has been opened. It was observed by Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
A notable feature is that the hotel has been built in an environment friendly manner. The Holiday Resort has come up at Thirippone in Anuradhapura. The expenditure incurred on the hotel was 70 million rupees. It has a network of 25 circuit bungalows spanning on an extent of 58 acres. The Complex is located near the Ulagalla tank and the Wattanmadu tank. Minister Basil Rajapaksa pointed out that there is a good demand worldwide for such environment friendly hotel complexes.
