The Public Service United Nurses Union (PSUNU) says it will not support the Trade Union action scheduled for today.
President of the Union the Ven. Muruthettuwe Ananda thera said their members would perform their duties as usual. The Ven. Ananda thera further said that a certain bankrupt trade union was misleading the nurses. It was their trade union which stood for the rights of the nurses. He further said the demands put forward by the Union have been submitted for the Cabinet approval by the Minister and therefore there was no need to launch trade union action.
