This money has already been received and work has commenced. Due to President’s mediation, The Kuwaiti Development Fund has given 1200 million. Work on this Project has also commenced. During the President’s tour of India, an assurance was given to build the Engineering and Medical Faculties of the Jaffna University in Kilinochchi. Minister Dissanayake said that India had assured to give any amount. The Austrian Government is also prepared to give credit sans interest. Another loan from India is also due for which interest will not be levied. Attention was not directed to funds in the budget as a large sum had come from abroad.
