President Mahinda Rajapaksa has arrived in China on a two day official visit.
Our Special Representative Sudharman Radaliyagoda said the President and his entourage arrived at the Pudon Airport in Shanghai. The President was welcomed at the Airport by Vice President of the Political Advisory Committee of China and other Government officials. Ministers Prof. G.L. Peiris, Wimal Weerawansa and Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga are included in the delegation. Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to China Karunatilake Amunugama was also present at the Airport. The President will participate in a series of closing ceremonies of the China Expo – 2010 Exhibition in Shanghai.
The President is expected to hold bilateral discussions with several Heads of State who are in China to view the exhibition.
