The next hearing of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission will take place in Jaffna, during the second week of this month.
This was disclosed by Chairman of the Commission, President’s Counsel C.R. de Silva. The Commission is expected to obtain views of the people in Jaffna following the establishment of the new administration after the eradication of LTTE terrorism.
The Chairman said that all facilities will be provided for anyone who is willing to give evidence before the Commission. Earlier the Commission held hearings in Colombo, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Batticaloa.
