The UNP today (9) said there were no rifts within the party saying all members will be participating in future programmes.
The UNP is currently conducting a programme, called Grama Charika to reach out to the grass roots level and to make them aware of the party policies.
However, UNP Hambantota District MP Sajith Premadasa did not attend the first and second phase of the Grama Charika programme citing he was sidelined from the programme.
Premadasa instead launched two separate programmes, Grama Sanvardhana Charika and Sasunata Aruna, in the villages.
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake however has denied that there are rifts within the party.
He has told the local media that Premadasa will participate in the third phase of the Grama Charika programme in Kundasale in Kandy.
The programme will be held in Kundasale on November 20 and 21.
